The Åbo Akademi University Foundation contributes financially to maintaining Åbo Akademi University and also supports and promotes other cultural activities in Swedish, especially scientific research. In 2020 we donated 14,8 million euros to Åbo Akademi University. Furthermore we promoted cultural work in Swedish with 2,2 million euros.

Culture-bearing activities
We have an important role as a cultural promoter. We operate three museums and also own the building where Åbo Svenska Teater is operating free of charge.
Casa Haartman
The artist’s home Casa Haartman is designed by the architect Erik Bryggman for the couple Axel and Hedvig Haartman.
