Since 1917, the Åbo Akademi University Foundation has created future by supporting education, research, and culture in Finland. We honour our donors’ trust, manage cultural-historical properties, and ensure long-term support for Åbo Akademi University and the Finland-Swedish cultural field. The foundation operates museums and maintains valuable collections that preserve our shared cultural heritage. Our mission promotes a sustainable, multilingual Turku region, where everyone has the opportunity to study, research, read newspapers, and take part in cultural experiences, also in Swedish.
