Museum Ett Hem
The museum Ett Hem Museum was originally the private residence of consul Alfred and Hélène Jacobsson. In 1925, they donated their home to the Åbo Akademi University Foundation, with the wish that it be preserved as a museum named Ett Hem.
Observatory
Finland’s first observatory building was constructed between 1817 and 1819 on Vartiovuori in Turku. It was designed by Carl Ludvig Engel for the Royal Academy of Turku. Since 2007, it has served as the office of the Åbo Akademi University Foundation.
